Our inaugural event kicked off this year at Chesapeake Light Craft's Big Little Boat Festival. Deale or No Deale was a 21.4-mile unsupported trek from Camp Wabanna located at the mouth of the Rhode River to the small fishing village of Deale and back.

First settled in 1655, Deale didn't come into its own until the late 1800's when it transitioned from farming to fishing. By the 1920s, it continued to evolve as a prime destination for summer communities. Home to country music stars The Brothers Osborne, and a vibrant charter fishing fleet of over 40 charter vessels, this South County gem is a textbook example of Chesapeake Bay's living history.

Won't you join us next year?!
